What is a Block Walk?

Block Walking (or canvassing) involves knocking on doors and engaging voters to determine if they are going to vote Democratic. We target "Democratic leaning" households, but there's always a chance a Republican might answer the door. We are not trying to persuade or convert anyone; our goal is to get Democratic voters to the polls. It is best to block walk in pairs, however going solo is also fine. We use the MiniVAN app to determine which households we are targeting; this requires the block walker to have a smart phone. If a smart phone is not available, a printed version can be provided.
